How do you know from the start what you want to do?
For Rick Spitzenberg, the print and design career was just as much a fit for him as he was a fit for the career. Rick became involved in the print and graphic design trade in 1991. His earliest duties included making film, proofs and plates in the pressroom. Then he made the switch to pre-press and graphic design in 1996. There he learned everything he could by shadowing other designers and attending classes. He enjoyed each project and immersed himself into every aspect of the business and products. Motivated to continue learning and designing, he took on freelancing projects in his free time and by 1999 he had enough clients to start Electro Image LLC.
Rick is born and raised in St. Louis. If asked, he’ll tell you that he enjoys traveling with his wife and son, but it’s always special returning to his home. Family, friendships, golf, local attractions, events and dining make it an unbeatable place to live.
When it comes to business, he and other business owners in the area will tell you that St. Louis has a great business base for owning, growing and obtaining success. For Electro Image LLC, its Midwest location makes shipping cost effective for product delivery coast-to-coast, and therefore a bonus for his customers.

Logo designs are fun, he says, because they get to learn the history of the company and its name. Another favorite is working with fundraising consultants & schools for athletics fundraising. Their involvement makes them feel good knowing they’re helping communities and schools across the country.
